Our friend Alison said it best, “Everyone loves a limerick” and we couldn’t agree more. With all that’s happening in the world we try to find the silly happenings or the amusing side of a story and place it into limerick form.
We don’t profess to be great poets . . . in fact, none of the folks at DailyLimerick.com has an English degree! What we do know is that a limerick consists of five lines, with the first, second, and fifth lines rhyming and the third and fourth lines ending in rhyme. Traditionally limericks are obscene in nature, the dirtier the better, yet always humorous.
At DailyLimerick.com, we take a new approach to limericks. As fun as it is to write an obscene limerick (trust us on this one!), we enjoy creating limericks that are observations on what is currently happening in our world. These take the form of political limericks, pop culture limericks, holiday limericks, and limericks to celebrate the many occasions we celebrate in our lives.
