In 1996 voters in the state of California approved a ballot measure legalizing the use of marijuana for medical purposes. Since that time, medical marijuana dispensaries have sprouted up all over the state with an abundance of them in Los Angeles County. In fact, dispensaries in Los Angeles now outnumber Starbucks stores! Because the dispensaries contribute much needed tax dollars in a bad economy, many cities are eager to implement more. However, since this flies in the face of Federal regulations, legal issues continue to cloud this topic and threaten to dampen this revenue stream. click here for limerick
