Dueling Microphones
November 7, 2009
The 2010 broadcast of the Oscars will be a historic event. On March 7 when the Oscars are aired, there will be two hosts – this has not happened since 1929. Actors Steve Martin (who has had the honor twice before) and Alec Baldwin are teaming up to put a fresh face on things. It should prove quite interesting with Steve’s love of banjo play and Alec’s penchant for off-color comments. However, hosting live events is nothing new for either of them as they have been fiercely competing for the title of “Most Frequent Saturday Night Live Host”. Martin is currently up by one having hosted a record-setting 15 times.
The Oscar hosting torch has again been passed
Two comedians will host the March telecast
One’s a wild-and-crazy guy
The other’s comments go awry
With Baldwin and Martin, it should be a blast
