Hot Dog Driver

July 21, 2009

Since 1936, the Oscar Meyer Wienermobile has been zipping around our country visiting schools, orphanages, children’s hospitals, and various parades.  1969 marked the first time the Wienermobile made a foray overseas.  Its horn plays the famous jingle in 21 different ways including Cajun and Rap.  Recently, in Mount Pleasant, Wisconsin, the driver of the vehicle (known as a “hotdogger”) was trying to turn the big dog around.  She thought she was in reverse, but she was in drive and when she hit the gas, she ran into a house and cracked its foundation.  No one was home and no one was hurt and Oscar Meyer states that damage would be covered by insurance.

The Wienermobile travels to places near and far
And caused an accident that was really quite bizarre
The driver’s quick acceleration
Cracked a Wisconsin home’s foundation
The lawsuit has a first name, it’s O-S-C-A-R
