Next Time They Will Probably Rob a Bank For Gas!
July 12, 2009
An upstate New York gas station was robbed by two armed men last week. The two crooks, Lonnie Meckwood and Phillip Weeks, might have gotten away with it . . . if they hadn’t run out of gas approximately one mile away from the service station. Meckwood and Weeks knocked on doors in the neighborhood asking for spare gas. One person offered to drive the duo to the Quickway Convenience Store-the one that they had just robbed. The duo convinced the good Samaritan to take them to a gas station in a neighboring town. Police caught up to and arrested Meckwood and Weeks as they were filling their 1995 Saturn getaway car with gas.
Two criminals had a sudden inspiration
But the outcome did not meet their expectation
They would not have been caught
If gas they had bought
And that made for an easy police investigation!
