USA Today reports that in this poor economy, homeowners are opting to cut costs and fix their homes rather than hire a professional. As a result, there has been an increase in the number of household repair injuries according to Nick Jouriles, president of the American College of Emergency Physicians. Angie’s List conducted a member poll and found that 83% of respondents wanted to save money and did the home projects themselves.
