Fighting the Flu

Fearing further expansion of the Swine Flu (H1N1 Flu) President Barack Obama asked Congress last week for $1.5 billion to help combat the outbreak. The idea behind the request is to give the government “maximum flexibility” to supplement antiviral stockpiles, add medical equipment and prepare for a vaccine.
The number of swine flu cases is ascending
And its world-wide appearance is extending
Obama gave the green light
To funds helping the fight
Is this considered government pork spending?
