Blago’s Harsh Reality
April 24, 2009
Impeached former Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich is interested in re-inventing himself as a reality television star. He asked a federal judge for permission to travel to Costa Rica to film an NBC show called, “I’m a Celebrity . . . Get me Out of Here“ The judge denied the request on the grounds that Blago is a flight risk. NBC offered to pay for two security guards to watch him day and night but since they would lack jurisdiction to arrest him, the judge denied that too. Blagojevich claims that he needs this to support his children. Casting for the show will be announced today. If convicted on political corruption charges, he faces 25 to 30 years in prison.
This hasn’t been Rod Blagojevich’s year
But he says he’ll continue to persevere
The courts fear he’ll flee
Filming reality TV
Will someone please get this guy out of here?
