A Little Birdie Told Me
March 24, 2009
Twitter, a social networking site, continues to grow at a rapid rate. Part blog, part instant message, Twitter users answer the question “What are you doing?” in 140 characters or less. As with any public communications device, users must be wary of what is posted. Recently, a Twitter user, theconnor, posted (also known as a “Tweet”) a comment on a recent job offer from Cisco. In it he wrote, “Cisco just offered me a job! Now I have to weigh the utility of a fatty paycheck against the daily commute to San Jose and hating the work.” A Cisco employee then responded questioning the connor’s suitability at the company. Theconnor attempted to remove his comment and prevent revealing his identity, but was unsuccessful. Speculation is Cisco rescinded its offer to theconnor. click here for limerick
