Don’t Play in Traffic
March 10, 2009
On Sunday, March 8, 2009, during the running of the Kobalt Tools 500 at the Atlanta Motor Speedway, Jimmy Watts, a crew member for Marcos Ambrose chased a rolling tire across pit road and half-way through the infield – nearly into the oncoming traffic of cars speeding by at 200 MPH. Not only is this an incredibly stupid thing to do, it is in violation of NASCAR rules. He was suspended for the remained of the day, and caution flag was brought out and many feel this changed the outcome of the race.
T’was a scary day at Sunday’s NASCAR race
A driver’s pit member played a game of chase
Things could have been dire
With a runaway tire
The finish was affected . . . what a disgrace!
