USA Today reported a former Alderman, John Crooks, pled no contest to embezzling $4,650 from the Norwich, Connecticut Little League and more than $10,500 from a veterans organization raising funds for a Korean War memorial. The former Norwich Little League Treasurer was sentenced to five months in prison. While he was an Alderman, Crooks and a colleague formed and co-chaired an Ethics Review Commission. click here for limerick
