Senate Showdown

Roland Burris, the appointee to fill President-elect Obama’s Senate seat, arrived on Capitol Hill today. Selected by scandal-plagued Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich, Burris has stated he would fight detractors to fill the Senate seat.
 

Burris arrived in Washington today
Much to the Democrat’s dismay
But will he find employ
As Senator from Illinois
As he’s tainted by Blago’s foul play
