The 95th Annual Rose Bowl Game was held on January 1, 2009 with the University of Southern California Trojans facing the Pennsylvania State University Nittany Lions. Mark Sanchez, USC’s quarterback, was the fourth in history to pass for more than 400 yards in a Rose Bowl game, leading the Trojans to a 38 – 24 victory.
